Tap Fees

Tap fees are collected on any new construction or remodel within the District’s boundaries.

Tap fees are based on the square footage of the floor area, plus any additional toilet, tub/shower, kitchen, hot tub, etc.

Payment of tap fees are required before the Town of Mt Crested Butte will issues a building permit.

Please submit a tap fee application with a $150.00 check and a complete set of stamped architectural plans for a tap fee final determination (Application fee and tap fee must be remitted by check; no cards accepted for Tap Fees).

A locked drop box is also available for payments at 100 Gothic Road in Mt Crested Butte, CO.

The District does not estimate tap fees by any means without the submission of an application, fee and complete plans due to the liability and time involved.
